I'm Marcy, the person behind the scenes at Me & Onalee. I've been a life long recycler and seamtress. Me & Onalee is a unique, eco-conscious brand dedicated to transforming discarded materials and thrifted clothing into functional, stylish bags and accessories.
History
My grandmother, Laura Onalee, taught me to sew as a child and I cherish those memories. My daughter, Onalee, who is an artist in her own right, constantly inspires me. She designed a functional crossbody bag which I have sewn with many materials. Making them from old clothing feels like the ultimate in recycling.Each one is unique, eco-friendly, practical, washable and stylish.That bag was the beginning of my upcycling business. Since then I have constantly been creating new items as I try to use every last scrap of recycled fabric.
